Rudroneel Ghosh is a 2021 Taiwan Fellowship candidate. With more than a decade of journalism experience, he is currently working for the editorial page of The Times of India as Assistant Editor. He analyses and writes about the day’s hot-button political, social and foreign affairs issues with a special focus on East Asia. He has interviewed several high-profile personalities, including former President of Bangladesh Hussain Muhammad Ershad, Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc and noted American rights activist Jesse Jackson. He has also been a panellist at high-profile conferences such as Morocco’s Assilah Forum and was a winner of Vietnam’s National External Information Service Awards, 2019. He is a 2021 Taiwan Fellowship candidate.

Chein-Fu Chen (陳建甫) is an associate professor, currently serves as the Chair, Graduate Institute of China Studies, Tamkang University, Taiwan (2020-). Dr Chen has worked as the Director of the Center of New Southbound Policy and Belt Road Initiative since 2018. Dr Chen focuses on China’s RRI infrastructure construction, sharp power, poverty alleviation and migrant workers, Indo-Pacific strategies, and Asian election and parliamentary studies. Parallel to his academic works, Dr. Chen has been actively involved in many civil society organizations and activities. He has been the Honorary President for Taiwan Asian Network for Free Elections and attended many election observation mission in Asian countries. Dr. Chen is also the China Belt Road Studies Association president and co-publisher of the Tamkang Journal of International and Regional Studies Quarterly (Chinese Journal). He also serves on the trustee board of the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy and Taiwan 2050 Educational Foundation.
