Chin-Kuei Tsui

Chin-Kuei Tsui is Associate Professor at the Graduate Institute of International Politics, National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan, ROC. His research interests are in Middle Eastern affairs, critical terrorism studies, US foreign and security policies, peace and conflict studies, and constructivist approach to IR. He is the author of Clinton, New Terrorism and the Origins of the War on Terror (Routledge, 2016). His research on the Western-led countering violent extremism has been published by Manchester University Press in August 2020. His articles have appeared in International Politics, Third World Quarterly, Journal of European and American Intelligence Studies, and Tamkang Journal of International Affairs, among others.

Ours is the only research institute among Taiwan’s universities committed to studies of contemporary issues of South Asian and Middle Eastern States, and our website is the only English web-page posting updated analyses on politics, economics, and sociology of both regions.

We wish to improve Taiwan’s knowledge of the regions to introduce new beneficial policies or complement the existing ones for the country’s legislative party.”

Sahand Faez

Research Fellow

He received a PhD in Econometrics and Development Economics from the University of Mazandaran, Iran in 2018. His main focus was on human rights in the labour market by studying the concept of Decent Work. At the moment he is pursuing a PhD in International Relations at GIIP, NCHU.

His area of interest is international relations of the Middle East and its effects on human rights in the region.

Naina Singh

Associate Editor/ Research Fellow

She is a PhD Candidate at GIIP, NCHU. Previously, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Chinese Studies, New Delhi. She has completed her MPhil in International Organizations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and Masters from South Asian University, New Delhi.

Her research interests include International Relations of South Asia, China’s provincial diplomacy (Yunnan), regional and sub-regional arrangements (Asia) and environment governance.
